Aveeno

We started using aveeno dermexa yesterday after attempts of other lotions/emollient and steroid creams prescribed by the doctor haven’t worked at all for baby’s eczema. If you’ve used this or normal aveeno how long did it take to see results? I’m at a loss if this doesn’t help him 😩

Have you tried oilatum junior cream, we have tried a series of cream and ointments and this one seemed to be the best for our daughter. I understand everyone is different. We used normal aveeno for 2 weeks and we saw a slight improvement x

Life long eczema sufferer here ... Try and use the steroid cream in conjunction with the moisturiser, if there are any red angry patched use a thin layer of steroid then slather on a thick layer of moisture and cover with clothes to allow to soak in xx

@Georgie yeah I usually use the steroid cream then lots of moisturiser on top, the first steroid cream helped him a bit I found but I don’t know if this one is and he’s already used it for a week x

@Emma thank you I will look into it! X

More then welcome! We have been putting sudocream on her worse bits and then the other cream I mentioned on her. Olitum also do a bath soak we use once a week or every other bath she has. It makes her skin red when she gets out the bath but then put the cream on and that seems to help and it's easily found ( we buy it from boots) x

hmm, I've heard some good things about aveeno, but it took a few weeks for my little one to show improvement, so hang in there! I actually checked the 'Heal Baby Care App' for this and here’s what it says: "I'm sorry to hear that you're feeling this way; managing a baby's eczema can be really challenging. Aveeno Dermexa is designed to help soothe and moisturize dry, irritated skin, but results can vary. Some parents notice improvements within a few days, while others may take a week or more to see significant changes. It's important to continue applying it regularly and monitor your baby's skin. Have you noticed any specific triggers that seem to worsen the eczema?

@Susan thank you that’s really helpful! No I haven’t really noticed anything that triggers it, he was put on CMPA milk in Jan and I thought it flared up from then but now I’m not too sure if it’s got worse since he’s been off it. It’s the most frustrating thing because they can’t tell you so everything is just trial and error x

@Emma oh thank you! I just bathed him in the aveeno one so I’m hoping that helps him a little bit but I’ll look into that one too xx

I love aveeno, I use the lotion and the sensitive daily cream atm However l been advised to put breast milk on thinks like that, honestly it works wonders 🤩🤩
