Heartbeat pace or nub theory?? Which is more accurate

Our 12-week scan's nub theory suggests we're having a girl, but our 16-week hearing the heartbeat suggests boy (sounds like a train, it's a boy, sounds like a horse, its a girl). So which would you say is more accurate?? I know they're only old wives' tales, but indulge me 😂

My mom said she was able to guess 4 or of 5 of her kids based on heart beat.. but she guessed my kid wrong

I think heart rate can be accurate later in pregnancy (can’t remember how late) but not necessarily by sound but by the rate itself. Boys tend to have lower heart rate rates and girls faster.
