trapped wind!

hey so my twin girls are 21 weeks old. they struggled a lot with trapped wind in the early weeks and have been on a long journey with constipation and wind. so the last two months it has got extremely better. they still would struggle every now and then but constipation had cleared up and was quite easy to manage their wind. the last few days it has been extreme. they cannot go more than ten minutes without crying. they tense and arch their back and are so uncomfortable and in pain. they cannot sleep at all. and are so exhausted from waking every five minutes in pain. i am so sick of hearing do bycicle kicks and tummy massage, feed upright, warm baths, the frieda windi. i have done it ALL. no gas (they usually are very good at passing gas) and no burps. nothing. and their tummy’s are so tender and full. i am losing hope, im not sleeping and they are so exhausted and in pain. it’s actually not manageable anymore. they are five months so i thought this would end but it’s comes back? any suggestions please i really don’t know what to do.

Have you also tried gripe water? X

@Diana yes and it makes their belly go all funny. i’ve tried infacol, dentinox, gripe water, basically everything

Oh God, I can only imagine how hard must it be. I won’t suggest things that you’ve probably tried. It might be worth a phone call to HV or GP. Xx

@Diana yeah i might have too. we have put them back on their laxative to see if it’s being constipated is stop their wind from coming out because of how blocked up they are. hopefully that works soon. deffo worth a ring just so sick of them telling me all the basics that i try everytime. i’m worried about their gut health to be honest and ive raised my concerns but obviously they won’t take it seriously 🤦🏻‍♀️

Are you breastfeeding? If not have you tried changing their milk? X

@Alicia no i am not, and we changed their milk already yes from aptimil to cow and hate because they really didn’t get on with it but do with the milk they are on now
