Giving birth abroad

Hi mamas, am considering giving birth abroad due to wider family support available. I am wondering if anyone gave birth outside the UK and if so, how was your experience travelling back with your newborn? Do you suggest or regret?

I gave birth here in the uk and I travelled back home when baby was two months old So slightly different Flying and actual travelling wasn’t an issue The issue was being back home with new born and too many people coming and going no rest at all I would say next time I will go after five months or so … My mum came here to help and stayed with us for two months so we did have the support and really you baby’s need you so all when you need is someone too cook for you and do you laundry….

@Louma many thanks for sharing your experience! This definitely is a concern for me against giving birth abroad - yes there will be support but also so many people who will want to see the baby.. I think I will be quite strict with some rules :)
