My little one has her jabs tomorrow which I’m already stressed about because or the heartbreaking cry - have people given calpol before to help the leg pain? Do they get a fever with these ones? I though they didn’t but have seen people saying they’ve got one. Thank you! X

Mine had a high temperature after the first jab but gave him calpol right after and then every 4-6 hours, which has helped. We have the next jab booked for next week, and I'm dreading it.. luckily, the little ones won't remember it in 2 days xx

They say they don’t get temp with this one, but there’s no harm giving them calpol also helps with the leg pain xx

I spoke to HV and she said that the worst ones are first and third ones, cause of MMR giving temp I think? So second ones theoretically shouldn't be that bad x

My little girl had hers last week, they said to me she didn’t need calpol unless she got a temp but I gave it to her anyway as it was painful and wanted to prevent a temp all together, she had 2 doses 6 hours apart and other than being more cuddly than normal for the afternoon after she had them, she was absolutely fine! This one was definitely better than the first dose for sure! Her first lot of jabs I gave her calpol before we went in, this time I did it after and I think giving it to her before made it hurt less as she cried less the first time round. Xx

We didn’t give calpol for the 12 week jabs as the nurse said she shouldn’t need it but a few hours later she was so, so sad - really cried like she was in pain. So we gave her some calpol and that seemed to help.

Mine had his 12 week jabs today and seems a little grouchy but otherwise fine. Nurse said no temperature expected as this round doesn’t include Hep B which is what causes temp in first and third rounds but she said if he seems a little sore or not himself we can do baby paracetamol.

My little one had 12 week jabs last week, personally for her they were worse than the 8 week ones 😞 nurse said wouldn’t need calpol for these ones, but when she slept for 5 hours after and then woke with a temp of 39.5 I gave her calpol. She was so so sad, like a little hot water bottle, something obviously really didn’t agree with her! Trust your instinct, I wish I had given calpol immediately after jabs like I did at the 8 week ones, I’ll certainly be giving calpol straight after 16 week jabs. Xx

exactly same here! 12w ones gave her fever, wish I had given her calpol earlier as wellq

I didn't give it after then12 weeks jabs and baby was fine x
