Regretting baby’s name 😅

I have a Alfie. He gets Alfredo Escobar, alfresco, alfiechino, freddo, Freddie, butthole bandit (he’s 5 and is obsessed with trying to punch everyone in the butthole he thinks it’s hilarious)

is Alfie his full name? if it's Alfred, you could use Freddie as a nickname instead.

otherwise maybe Alfs, Alf, Al or Ali.

does he have a middle name? depending on what it is, you could combine it/part of it with his first name - eg use initials like AJ, or if his middle name began with C, you could use Ace as a nickname, etc...

You can pick a different name that you like to be the nickname. I have a family member named William that goes only by Mack and a friend named Nina that goes by Alana. I have also seen animal names too like we have a friend Antonio that goes by Tiger.

This! My whole family does it. Linda goes by Wenny, Ronnie goes by Duke, Anthony goes by Mac, we have people that go by Peach and Muff. lol you can pick whatever you want.

On paper legally it will be Alfie but you can call them what you want day to day

Where do you live? In the US you can legally change a name at any time through the court. You have to pay a fee but it isn’t terrible! Maybe that’s an option if you’re really unhappy with the name. If not I think Al could be cute! Or baby could go by the middle name if you prefer that!

it’s not legally too late but feels too late as he’s nearly a year old. Although maybe have a renaming party for his 1st birthday 😅

we cycled through loads of names and just plumped for one when it got to registering because we were still undecided 😂
