I feel awful about this I really do so please be kind. I am wondering if there is anyone else out there struggling with themselves over this.. I have recently found out I’m having a boy and I know it sounds silly but I just wasn’t prepared for that I just had it in my mind we were having a girl. Also all my kids want a girl my husband wants a girl and I just feel a bit gutted now I know it’s a boy. I am struggling to get excited over buying baby boy things and find myself even feeling a little jealous seeing other mums expecting little girls. I just craved a girl connection as I am already in a house full of boys.. will this feeling pass? I feel awful about how I’m feeling and I know I should be so grateful and thankful for our pregnancy regardless.

If took me a couple weeks to a month to get over the fact I was having a girl (I desperately wanted a boy)

Don’t feel bad, it’s normal and it doesn’t mean you will love this little boy any less. It’s ok to grieve the illusion and hope of a girl. Just remember how blessed you are to have a boy too. How he will fit right into the boy gang and how loved, spoiled, and protected you will always be as the first woman in all their hearts 💙

It took me a few months to get over the disappointment of another girl. But I did and love having two girls now.
thank you this made me very emotional I really appreciate your words
thank you
thank you

I had gender disappointment with my 4th boy and a little with my youngest. My husband had gender disappointment with our youngest as we were sure we were having a girl as my pregnancy was the complete opposite to my other pregnancies but we had another boy. We have 6 boys and I would love to have a baby girl just to have that bond a bond like my husband has with our boys x
it’s good to feel like I’m not alone this! Yeah I get that we have 4 boys and even the dog is a boy.. 😅 I just miss I think also the little girl in me sometimes and would love to connect with a little girl like my partner does with the boys! I felt that when you said that!

I remember feeling like this when I found out i was having another girl....I instantly started shopping which helped...... tbh when I had her she was my best friend in the world.....

It took me my whole pregnancy to get over that I was having a boy. I even cried alot during my pregnancy bc it was my first one and such a rough one I didn't even know if I wanted to continue with it in the early days let alone when I found out it was a boy and my twin that was pregnant at the same time was having a girl i was so jealous of her that i didnt talk to her for a month. I felt terrible for thinking that and just absolutely disgusted with myself. And I was so scared I wasn't going to connect with him. But after having him and seeing him for the first time I absolutely adored him and couldn't find any emotion of disappointment or any negative emotion. I fell absolutely in love with having a boy.

I definitely felt disappointed when I learned that both of my twins were girls when I wanted at least one boy cause this was my last pregnancy. But now that I’ve seen them and held them in my arms, I’d never change a thing about either of them.
thank you so much ❤️
thank you ❤️

I was adamant i was having a boy, and did feel a little gutted when we found out she was gonna be a girl. It will pass, I wouldn't change my girl for the world now, she's the little girl i never know or wanted (I only wanted boys).

I cried after I found out I was having a boy, I was soo disappointed.
One thing that comforted me was realizing that you can still dress up baby boys in cute outfits! Lil hats with bear ears are one of my favorite baby boy accessories ❤️

I was sad when I found out my last was a boy after 2 boys. Took a few days grieving the girl I won’t have. But I’m ok now and excited 💙
