Kids

How do you learn to not snap when you spend 14-18 hours with your kids everyday. One of my kids we are working on getting evaluations set up for different things and there are some days everything is good and other days with I just feel like snapping. I can't leave them room because they need constant supervision. I just don't like the person I become sometimes.

You are not alone! I am this as well. My 3.5 year old... If he's not at least ADHD I will be flabbergasted. I think it's more likely AuDHD. We're awaiting an assessment in the next few months.
My kids are also only 15 months apart. And now they feed off eachother and drive me bananas! I'm so burnt out from trying not to lose it on them. I thought 2 under 2 was hard... I feel like this stage is way worse.

The one thing I've found to help even a slight bit is Mommy monster. When I'm approaching my limit, she comes out. It lets me vent a little of the tension and gets the kids attention. Usually they're laughing, so it works some.

Otherwise if things go sideways and I lose it... I do my best to speak to them afterwards at some point later in the day when everyone has calmed down. I explain why I was upset. I apologize for losing my cool and focus on how I was feeling. I am aiming to normalize that we aren't perfect, everyone makes mistakes, and emotions are not easy to regulate.
