My baby is now 9.5 months and he seems to be allergic to eggs. Boiled or omelette both… his one eye becomes red little swollen but it does become normal after few hours, skin becomes red and sort of hives…. Do u think it will go away as he becomes older ? He seem to breathe ok and not much cry hysterical altho it does bother him… my girl wasn’t allergic to anything but m scared for him to even try anythg nutty now .

I think my daughter is allergic to egg too - she’s getting little spots around her mouth nothing else. She was fine with nuts. I hope it will go away but to be honest not sure what to do

Hi, I have an older boy allergic to egg and these would be his symptoms. He is currently doing the egg ladder which is when you reintroduce the allergen but in small steps. I'd suggest you go to your GP and ask for a referral for allergist & dieticians as it sounds like an allergy. Has he been able to eat other things with egg baked into them e.g. pancake's? If so I would keep offering these as then he will maintain some tolerance to it.

If you Google egg ladder you will see there are different levels so my boy can tolerate baked egg but would not be able to egg scrambled or boiled egg atm - hopefully he will some day.
