My 5 month old struggles with this. He refused a paci for a long time, it wasn’t until 2.5 ish months I got him to start using “the Pacii”. It’s the only one he likes. Sometimes he fights for the boob and I just keep trying to give him the pacifier. It’s my understanding that around 6 months is a good time to transition away from using a pacifier and use teethers only. May be better to just transition that way instead but up to you! I know it’s tough
@Taylor I don’t want her to have pacis all day, usually throughout the day she’s biting and playing with her teethers and only eats if she’s hungry but at night it’s so tough, I wanna transition her into her own bed cause girly is becoming a wild sleeper and wants to lay up under me which leaves me at the edge but I feel like with her self soothing the way she is she’s just gonna end up back in my bed
Ah gotcha! Yes probably a good time to transition to her own bed. I imagine it gets harder as they get older too
6 months is a huge transitional time. She probably is just needing some extra support. My girl is 7 months now and it’s kind of just something that happens in waves and we will have a night here or there where she wants to be on the boob all night and others that she sleeps all the way through. You’re totally rocking it! Hang in there!
Try the Evenflo cylindrical pacifiers.. my son went without a pacifier for a while but started over eating bc he was using me as a pacifier. That’s the only pacifier he would take. I know the Evenflo brand is supposed to be similar to an actual nipple
