They live too far, however, they will be coming a few days before we actually leave to do some practice runs and get her comfortable with them!
It’s a tough one. I would usually say go away and enjoy yourself but if your baby doesn’t know them then it may make her feel upset. If you can’t do any practice runs then can you FaceTime them a lot so at least she gets to know them more?
@Chloé Collier yep that’s my biggest hesitation, knowing she’ll be unsettled! We FaceTime every day, so she knows her face and voice at least. She’s going to come down over Easter for a few days so we can have a crack at it then. So tricky isn’t it. I know it’ll be good for me, but the mum guilt is real!
Based on your answers of others questions do what’s best for you mama if this trip is something you need then go ahead and go on your trip based on your answers she’ll be fine and your MIL is someone you can trust enough for this trip 🩷
What about staying with her dad?
@Jasmine thank you, that’s really kind!
@Amber the trip is for his best friend’s wedding, which he is the best man at! So if he I didn’t go, it would be a case of staying behind while he goes!
Are they able to come and do the bedtime routine a few times so she knows it’s ok and gets used to them doing it? Or do they live too far to do that? https://www.instagram.com/reel/DFFbKe0IDTR/?igsh=MWhwZDQ5Z3doZHg4Ng==
