Puff pastry ideas

I’ve got a sheet of puff pastry just need some ideas of what I can do with it. I did cheese and veggie straws last time but my little one wasn’t keen on it. Not sure if it was the cheese because she’ll demolish all veggies. She’s got a dairy allergy and this ain’t the first time I’ve tried her with cheese. I’ve tried all different brands and she’s just not that keen on it. Any ideas sweet or savoury

Chocolate or caramel curly twirlies? There's a BBC good food recipe & you can sub out the caramel for a Chocolate spread

I've made my daughter some garlic butter and cheese twists. She wasn't too keen on the cheese either, but she did eat a good amount of the twist without the cheese.

Pizza scrolls (minus the cheese), apple and cinnamon scrolls, mini croissants with whatever filling (or plain), berry squares, mini quiche (again minus cheese)…

Maybe a med veg tart if she likes veg, sausage rolls (i am making today), i do little parcels, cut rectangle then fill with veg sometimes i add chicken, fold in half and crimp the edges

Thank you all I might split the sheet in half and do some sweet ones and some savoury bits. I keep trying her with cheese but let’s be honest the plant based cheese ain’t very nice

@Paige is the cream cheese any good?

I do pain au raisins. It’s just custard and raisins

We made tomato, courgette and cheese pinwheels, which my baby loves (also cmpa). Its a tomato puree base with some garlic and paprika aswell

@Amy she had some on toast and ate it.

I’ve done pinwheels with vegan Philadelphia cream cheese for my little one. Just pop it in the blender with some spinach and peas, season and roll. She loves them x

Cheesey bean twists!! Baked beans and cheese mix can even mash the beans

We use violife cream cheese, broccoli and tomatoes, he demolished them! Or I make pizza slices with them, but you could replace the cheese with different toppings

@Paige i did cream cheese and spinach the other day and seemed to do down well

I make sausage rolls and he loves them. For dessert I just do a blob of Nutella and a piece of banana and wrap it up and bake it. A piece of apple and cinnamon sugar and some butter is also nice, if you can make actual apple pies (like the mixture) then add it then wrap that’s even better but a slice w cinnamon sugar and butter is still nice. Baby boy loves my sausage rolls though that has more ingredients

I made some blueberry 'jam' tarts.

Pin wheels with tomato puree, cheese and mix veg! Tasted like a pizza!!

https://vm.tiktok.com/ZNddKuPR4/ These are a staple in our house, my son is obsessed we always have some in the freezer https://thisbristolmum.com/pizza-pinwheels/ Pizza pinwheels are also a great! I usually add some basil and mushrooms and whatever other vegetables we have laying around

Have you tried her with the cathedral city extra mature vegan cheese? Sold in Tesco. We love that one. Sausage rolls Mashed fruit & cream cheese in pinwheels or twists Veggie tarts

Mine likes veg with pesto

Open tart with tomato puree garlic base and lots of veggies

@Sally that’s the latest one I bought and she still didn’t like it

I do pizza swirls type things but cream cheese and broccoli

@Ebony I did the bean ones, they went down a treat with the baby and my 19 year old lol

@Paige what's her favourite food at the moment?

@Katie I'm making some this weekend for her to try. I think I'm more excited than she is 😂

She doesn’t really have a favourite food. She’ll eat basically everything apart from watermelon, cheese and avocado

If you know she eats blueberries you can do a blueberry puree and put that in some puff pastry. Puff pasty is really versatile and can be used for almost everything

Spinach and soft cheese is really good. As is just ground beef or meat of choice! Look up spanakopita

If she's okay with nuts, I made some nutty pinwheels to keep up with regular exposure once I'd tried them individually. Spread almond and peanut butters on the pastry, then sprinkle ground *all the other nuts* (blitzed them in a blender until very fine/powdery, doesn't matter too much if it turns to nut butter as that's safer than having big bits), roll up, chop into discs and bake. I keep them in the freezer then grab one out every so often and airfryer for a few mins.

I’ve not tried her with nuts yet as I’m allergic to all nuts. Not badly allergic but still allergic so I’m just scared of trying her with peanut butter or anything like that. Not even have her almond milk I use oat or soya
