I’m 99% sure I’m having a miscarriage rn I’m 5 weeks and 3 days and my family has plans to go to the beach on Wednesday. I’m wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation. I’ve had one miscarriage the first time I got pregnant but it was silent and incomplete and I needed a D&C so it was a different situation. I’m wondering if I’ll be okay to swim and stuff obviously I won’t be able to wear a tampon but I know because the cervix is “open” it probably isn’t recommended that I swim. But idk anybody been in the same boat?

So sorry to hear that, never been through one but my only advice was is to speak with your doctor or nurse. Sending hugs x

Don’t swim please wait until the bleeding has stopped

I'm sorry you're going through this again.
I personally wouldn't do it.
I had a miscarriage once and it was so bad. I was in the bathroom and/or bed all day long. A lot of bleeding, a lot of pain. Physical and emotional pain.
If you're not bleeding too much on Wednesday and you feel okay, then do it, I'm sure it's mentally easier to have family around (no matter if they know ot not) but please don't go in the water. I wouldn't want to risk an infection.
it’s probably going to be too cold anyway. I just started cramping and bleeding a little heavier. My first miscarriage was nothing like this. I didn’t bleed at all so this is new. When I called my OB they said that it sounds like implantation bleeding but I bled a little around when my period was supposed to be just one time and I would have been around 4 weeks then and today I had the cramping and I’ve been bleeding noticeably each time I go to the bathroom and cramping worse than I do on my period so I’m pretty sure it’s not just implantation.

I would go to your local urgent care or emergency department to see what’s going on and ask them if it would be okay.

I don't think you should go to the beach. Rest at home.

I was told not to do anything until the miscarriage was "complete" and I bled on and off for 2 weeks. I would take it easy and just rest as much as possible. X
