2 under 3. Love them to bits but this is so hard.

Can I ask what's hard about it? I'm planning to have my 2nd when my first is 2.5ish
both are extremely dependent on you and you can’t give either the full attention they deserve. My toddler is sick and wants to be held and my baby is teething and wants to be held.

she wouldn't have known how hard it is until too late, hence why she is where she is now
fuck off

I love it until they both get sick 😮💨
it’s so hard! I want to hold them both but neither of them want to be that close to each other right now.

I don’t regret it but I can’t go as far as to say I love it lol
Mine are 5 and 18 months and it is hectic and overstimulating.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m having fun but it’s not all rainbows and sunshine.
My oldest is 6 yrs and I feel already like I’m starting over. So bigger age gaps can suck too. We can’t do a lot of things with our eldest because they’re so little. When they’re no longer toddlers will be a huge weight lifted.
The fact that they’re all in different places in childhood, like 3x as many toys, 3 different bedtimes, bottles, sippy cups, water bottles, 2 in diapers, 2 needing naps, 2 throwing fits, all the car seats, boosters and convertible seats!
You know? Just the stuff alone is a lot.
would you have preferred to have them closer in age to your first? It’s definitely hard not being able to do things for the older one.

I personally love it. I heard it gets easier when they get older. I’m about to have 3 under 3 for a little while but I just love that they’re so close because I wasn’t able to have that growing up.
oh wow! You’re seriously amazing. Happy chaos ♥️

Mine are 3 & almost 5, so 21 months apart. It’s definitely still hard at times, but it has gotten easier. They entertain each other a lot, so I can get stuff done. However, they’re constantly fighting over toys & things, so that’s no picnic. Hang in there, mama! 🩷

I had my first two very close in age too, i remember the first few years being really hard with both of them, but right now they’re 4 and 5 and the last year or two has been extreme bliss in comparison lol so I just came here to say that! It gets so much better. They entertain eachother and do everything together, can wear the same clothes, are into the same stuff, bathe together etc. I often think that now it’s probably a lot easier having them both than if I just had one lol. Plus just seeing them have eachothers backs and be best friends is so sweet

Yes! I think the struggle is temporary. Even one toddler can be hard lol
My sister had her first two 11mo apart and they’re teens now. She’s told me it does get easier. However, I think maybe the 2 year age gap might have been better but I wouldn’t know.
Can you imagine having twins? Lol
And for me, no one is willing to babysit them both so my husband and I do take turns taking the oldest to do stuff.

Thank you!! So are you❤️!! It’ll get better with time especially since you have a sick and teething one at the moment. I definitely know that’s not fun
mine are 24 months apart! Things where pretty chill until my baby started crawling. Now there’s a lot of fights and my first as started hitting the baby when she’s upset.
I love this. Thanks for sharing!
oh that’s tough I’m sorry no one will support yall like that. I used to think I wanted twins but now I know I really don’t lol!
thank you ♥️

I regretted having mine so close in age (19 months apart) for the first year. It was so hard! For me it got better after that first year. I was able to finally catch my breath and stop feeling quite so overwhelmed.
Now that my youngest is potty trained things are much easier. Still a lot and always will be but easier than it was that first year.
I hope it gets better! Hang in there.

I had 4 kids 6 and under. It was an absolute nightmare. I blocked most of it out. Wouldn’t make the same choice again if I could go back. I’d have spaced them out more

Aw dang, I hate that. I’m sorry 😢 luckily, the hitting didn’t start until my youngest was a toddler as well, but I know that’s hard to navigate.

I have twins, so there’s nothing to regret, but it’s definitely hard and I have my moments when I think how much easier it could’ve been if I had a singleton.

Mine are exactly 12 months apart! The first two years were extremely difficult. But now they are 4 and 3, it has gotten soooo much easier and is actually enjoyable 🥰

what a ridiculous comment and most unhelpful 🙄🤦🏼♀️

I have a 7 year gap between first 3 and that's hard due to different likes and enjoyment But I had a baby last Jan and now due another in 3 weeks so will both be under 2. Hoping its not as scary as people say 😳 although judging by the comments I think I'm in for hell of a ride lol xx

I had twins 16.5 months after my singleton, 3 under 18 months for a short stint. I don't regret it per se but I admit I am not really enjoying it much yet. There are moments of enjoyment but they are surpassed by the many moments of hard. That said we have graduated to 3 under 2, then 3 under 3 and now 3 under 4 so there is light at the end of the tunnel and the tunnel seems much shorter because I'm not worried about having anymore!

Hahaha!

Your comment made me laugh. ✌️

found her buddy aww

Don’t do that. She genuinely gave me a laugh. Have a good day. 🖖🏿
