Could not wait to get my bedroom back. We did it at 7months when we moved house! She barely noticed!
We moved our boy at about 6.5 months. Both me and him are very light sleepers so we were waking each other up constantly through the night with any noise/movement. We both slept much better once he'd gone to his own room. Plus he fidgets a lot in his sleep and was getting too big for the next-to-me crib, and our room isn't big enough for a full size cot x
My son went into his room about 3 weeks ago, so I think when he almost turned 9 months old. He sleeps like a dream now x
Both of my boys went into their own rooms at 6 months. Personally I sleep much better without him there - we were on holiday last week and that meant we were back to sharing and we all slept awfully! But do what works for you, if you’re all happy with the arrangement and getting enough sleep it’s fine ☺️
Almost 9mo here and still in our bedroom with no plans to move any time soon. Ages 0-3 are so important for secure attachment and it works really well for us - I can get to him before he cries or wakes up my husband, plus it's a couple of steps from the bed rather than across the hall. Plus we're looking into cosleeping options for when I return to work to maximise sleep for everyone. Also the spare room is a mess still... 🤣 Do what feels right for you! The 6 month age is a minimum, remember that.
We did it around 6.5/7 months. But we delayed it for a couple reasons :)
My 9 month old sleeps in his own cot in his room he shares with his sister between 7pm and 9/10pm ish just to introduce him to it and as part of night time routine ( also so I can shower / sort things without tiptoeing around him). He's then in bed with me as he's still breastfeeding through the night and it's just easier x
9 months in crib next to me x I feel she needs this still, I’ll see about 10 months how it’s going
Mine starts the night in her room in her cot, but she’s usually woken at least once before I’ve gone to bed so she cosleeps with me from then on. My husband sleeps with my 3 year old as she still wakes up a fair bit! It’s how we all get the most sleep!
We did it at 7months x
We did at 8 months. She seemed ready because she kept waking up and now she's on her own she sleeps through again
7 months and she sleeps like a dream in her own room. It was the best thing we did even though I found it hard to do.
We put our youngest in his own room at 5.5 months, he was waking up loads because my partner snores🙈😅. He has slept so much better since we moved him. But at the end of the day youll do what's best for you and your family, I quite like having my bedroom back and being able to chill and watch something in bed again before we go to sleep as we couldn't do that before as the baby would wake up. Hes a very light sleeper in comparison to his older brother x
