I had engorgement and it was really painful, if you want to reduce the amount of milk you produce, I would pump a small amount to relieve the pain and within a few days it should adapt and it will get less painful. Or you could try dream suckling, where you picked the baby up and put them to your breast and they will suck on a tiny bit but they don’t wake. Either way, i’f recommend removing a small amount from the breast to relieve any discomfort but not much more otherwise that will increase the demand to make it worse. All the best, I hope it gets better soon
I had this problem for so long. I use to sleep with nipple pads and towels under me because I’d leak all over the place. I had to stop pumping before it would start to go away
@Melanie I still leak significantly if not wearing pads, when did yours stop?
Around 9 months pp I finally was able to stop pumping. It hurt at first but as my child ate more solids it was easier for my supply to drop down. I used to pump before bed and in the morning but I was pumping too much. If you’re in pain only pump for a minute on each side. Don’t let your milk completely drain. How old is your little one?
I started leaking through my PJ's so I've pumped whenever he doesn't wake up.
