Want to name baby boy #2 Alfie, but it’s quite common and heard a lot of baby Alfie’s, eldest loves Alfie as do we but it’s so common

It's not common never met a person named Alfie use it even if it is still use it

You could go for Alfred and Alfie as a shortname.

Would it bother you if you shout Alfie in the park and 5 kids come to you? Or if there are several Alfies in his class? If not, go for it.

see I’m not too keen on Alfred which is the difficult part, my first has a common name and it did/does bother me at points but I still love his name, and he loves the name Alfie too, it’s so difficult to know what to do for the best!

Alfie sounds lovely. Otherwise youbcould use it as a middle name.

I've heard of Alfies but also know none. There isn't an Alfie in my daughters nursery class, playgroup, swimming or athletics. I say go for it! It's a gorgeous name. X

I've never known an Alfie. If you love it says go for it! I will say my name is Hanna, pretty much as common as it gets, but I still think it's a pretty name and it doesn't bother me!

I do hear other babies called it but also I don't think it's super common. Honestly though if it's a name you love I would just go with it rather than picking a name you don't like as much just to be less common. I find boys names so hard, we finally found a name we were both happy with then find out someone else we knew (but didn't spend time with) had called their baby that too. It put me off at first and then I decided it was stupid to try and pick a different name we wouldn't like as much for this reason.

I personally don’t use top 100 popular names and always choose something not as popular.
