yes it’s possible. you don’t have to talk 24/7 about politics cause at the end of the day, i’m one way and my friends are another yet we’re all still friends. your choice matters like mine does and if you’re a dem while i’m a rep, i’ll still be your friend! vice versa! unless all the other person can talk about is politics, then no. because it’ll be a never ending debate

honestly, maybe 3/4 years ago for sure when people were normal and not turning into senators and politicians 😂 now in days probably not because everyone is too serious about it. We can’t even drive certain cars without getting harassed. I also think it depends on the moms, like I don’t care I’ll be friends with either as long as they aren’t putting their values that I don’t agree for example with onto my children.

As long as they are a good person and you can talk about anything with them without being judged it definitely works! But if they are the type that’s like “ oh I can’t be friends with you because you believe this” is too much, God forbid someone has a different opinion than you 😂

I have friends whom we completely disagree politically. I know they are wonderful people and mothers so I don’t let it bother me. Most of them, we know each others views and disagree respectfully.

a republican yes, a maga person no. there’s a big difference. unfortunately most republicans these days are maga. if your values don’t align, there likely won’t be a sustainable friendship anyways. differences of opinion are fine, but differences in values, human rights, science, etc. will be hard to make work.

have you experienced a maga person denying a friendship with you because of different values and opinions?

no because i don’t seek out maga friendships. as i mentioned, difference in opinion is fine, values for me are not. other people may think differently. but especially when it includes children, i don’t want my child to be exposed to anti-lgbtq, racist, or misogynistic ideas considering that’s absolutely the opposite of how i will be raising them.

I cannot be friends with MAGA cuz I’m a disabled nonbinary lesbian with mixed race kids. They want my community dead. I can’t be friends with people who want me and my community dead. This isn’t about politics anymore. It’s about human rights.

My closest friend and her husband are very opposite in politics, lifestyle. She and I just don't talk about it ❤️

When you follow politics, you get an understanding of the policies that affect you and people you love. So when you see someone who says they care about you, but yet voting against your interests, it feels like a bit of betrayal. 😔
