2 year old (23 weeker born) still on purées

Hi all, I wanted to ask if any other mums have been on a similar journey as me and what they’ve done to combat this. My 23 weeker born child is turning 2 next month, he’s always been bottle aversive since 6 months old and I always fed him purees. He has reflux issues, and hence can only take purees, I just feel quite down sometimes if he’ll ever have solid foods but SALT have just advised to thicken his purees. Is there any other mums who have gone through something similar and know how to combat this, I sometimes don’t really know what milestones they have to achieve for their development and what isn’t

Have you talked about putting him on reflux medicine?

Correct me if am wrong but I thought once they turn 2 then you don’t use a corrected age? Chewing is something they learn to do and don’t actually need teeth for it. Have you ever tried baby snacks like crisps etc? X

Check out solid starts on instagram for how to cut and serve food. I’d be going to ‘mouth mapping’ foods; a mango pit, chicken drumstick, spare ribs. Also try some messy play so get some yoghurts or mashed peas and let him just stick his hands in it and get messy!
