I just ordered some ovulation strips so try and track it better!! I have no idea how they work. Of course i know there will be directions on it but i would love to hear from people who used it and were successful? Do you start testing as soon as your period is over? At what point do you start using the strips and how often? I brought a pack of 50. Is that too much or overkill? TIA. This is my first time using ovulation strips and tracking my ovulation! I have one son and we weren’t trying when i got pregnant with him and it was total surprise. We’ve been trying since last May with only using the Flo app to track my ovulation and i don’t think it’s that’s accurate so I’m trying the strips now.

Hey! I have a tiny bit of insight from others who are more experienced, and my own personal experience.
1. 50 is only going to last you 25 days. You should be testing 2x/day because your peak can happen in a matter of hours and not last very long. Second urine of the day and last urine of the day is what you should use to test!
2. You typically start testing the day after your period ends. So day 1 of no period.
3. Get the Premom app, or something similar! You can scan your ovulation test strips and it’ll detect your “peak” which is 12-24hrs before you actually ovulate!
I’ve heard many success stories using opks! I, personally haven’t had success, but I’m on cycle 2 of intensely tracking things. When I was first TTC, I wasn’t consistent and had NO idea what I was doing. Consistency is key. Try to drink the same amount of fluids and the same type of fluid everyday. Otherwise, if you drink a ton of water one day and not that much the next, the tests won’t be fully accurate due to

Urine dilution. I’m in the same boat as you because with my son, I wasn’t trying and he was a surprise! This time I’m actually trying to get a baby instead of being surprised by one haha. Best of luck to you!

Yes as stated above and read the instructions that come with it. There will always be a line on the test but that first line will need to be as dark as or darker than the second line to be positive.
