My 2week old boy has such awful newborn acne. We never had this with out first and it just looks so sore. I think its my breastmilk/hormones. We are cleaning his face after each feed so there's no milk residue on his skin. Anything else we can do? We are due a newborn photoshoot and honestly thinking to postpone it until his skin clears.

My 3 week old is the same it’s not nice seeing them suffer with it. I have tried quite a few things but I’ve found most things just make it worse. I’ve been cleaning it with cooled boiled water twice a day and this seems to be helping. I have been to the gp and they said less is more and it will clear on it’s own, I know exactly how you feel x

It’s really unusual for babies to actually be bothered by their own baby acne, it’s not painful or itchy. My last baby had acne and I felt really guilty for wishing she looked picture perfect but that really is the only issue with it, it’s harmless to them

so true! I think as a ftm I panic over everything and I just want everything to be perfect, but that isn’t realistic. I am very glad I have a happy and healthy baby and that it doesn’t bother him, my mom brain just wishes I could fix it for him.

My first had it after about 4 weeks. It just went on it’s own. It’s just a phase and adjustment to their new environment.
As long as they’re not phased it’s fine.
Their health is the priority.

I found this made my babies worse!

same ! Made it look more angry !
I've used the mustela water and it's dried it up and just looks red and angry now. Much less white heads though. God who knows of its made or better or worse. I'm applying bm too as advised by the midwife

😮 I had no idea so many people said it worked for their babies.
