We started potty training end of January, I genuinely didn’t think she was ready the first two days but we just persevered and it just clicked. First 2 days she held all day until she had an accident, then the 3rd day she finally used the potty, as well as a few accidents but as they days went on the accidents were becoming less and less and she’s been fully dry through the day and most nights for around a month. We used chocolate buttons as a reward, 2 for a wee 3 for a poo. Some people say it’s not the best way to go about it but it worked for us as I knew it’d encourage her more than a sticker chart and we only needed to give her rewards for around a week or so. If we needed to leave the house for the first week or so I’d put pants underneath her pull up as I found she had accidents out less this way and didn’t want to confuse her by switching between just a pull up and pants. She turned 3 just under 2 weeks ago for reference xx
We're 1 week into our second attempt at potty training. We did it last year and she just wasn't ready. This time we noticed more tantrums and problems when we asked or encouraged it, when we just left her to it with the odd reminder she did it so much better!! Asking her to do it even still caused riots!
Day 7 and she goes, but it's always after a wee pee in her pants first ( not much) then holds it to we get to potty. Can't get her to recognize the before feeling. Been a long week.
Our potty training was 3 days. First 2 days he pee alot,3th day he used to pee in the potty. And the 4 day when he wake up i just put the panths and he start to say when he have poo or pee. Tonight he has dry nappies, and all day we don't have accident. I will give him 1 week more for the night nappies ,and if he is dry i will remove them. Usually i change him 1 time during the night because he was use to pee alot at night.
@Toni great for him 🥰 They are all different. My cousin potty trained in two days and brother then took 5 weeks. :)
What age was your cousin and brother?
We are currently going through this, my LB turned 3 Friday, we had tried previously but he wasn’t ready. I have just made it exciting for him, designing his own potty chart and putting stickers on when he has been, which he is loving if he gets 10 stickers then he gets a reward… currently day 3 so far… good luck 🤞 xx
