I cannot understand why they build these buildings and advertise them as affordable but add so many amenities of course the price will still be just as ridiculous and this isn't even the worst. I've seen and heard an ad about apartments starting at under $1000 but it's a studio for $900+ anyway.
In this day and age with 2 adults making $21 an hour combined they still wouldn't meet the threshold of income required to qualify for this "affordable housing" it's ridiculous if you ask me and I know you didn't but damn do these people not know the meaning of affordable I'm tired of all the false advertisement.

I really don't understand how people are affording it

exactly like who is making this much money and if they are what is their job or how many jobs do they work because realistically 1 job isn't gonna cut it.

Yeah lottery can range from a yearly income of 0$- 230,000$ so it all depends on that honestly you just have to stay on top of connect housing you can always find something in your range you just have to apply right away. My husband and i have won twice the housing lottery we decided to go with a 1 bd in queens for 1500 and i guess it’s “luxury”. I wish you the best before you know it you’ll win one too 💖

See stuff like that. You might as well get a house . That payment you’ll pay monthly is mortgage. My MIL pay about 2.3k a month for her house in Brooklyn and she got a house that cost about 300k she’s already down to 145k been here for more than 10 yrs so it’s not worth being in an apartment anymore for that price you can buy a house seriously .
