Hot shot method tap water?

If you use hot shot method can we now use cold tap water for the cold part after the formula has been mixed with boiling water? Always used cooled boiled water but just wondering if that's necessary now that they are having tap water anyway in cups

I don’t get why not. I never really thought about this really.

I'm still using cooled boiled water for bottles. It hadn't crossed my mind to stop that tbh! I thought I'd just continue to do so until he's not on formula anymore. I see your point about them drinking tap water actually but I guess it's a much smaller amount than the formula. Not really sure!
