Formula recommendations

Hello mums. So I have been breastfeeding for 9 months now. And I’m not planning to stop at the moment however I would like to introduce some formula. As I am going back to work soon and I just don’t produce enough milk anymore to pump aswell. And I also find increasing my supply and pumping extremely draining and it brings me down a lot. When he was about 3 months old I tried Kendamil. He just kept throwing it up. In big amounts. I also tried Aldi formula and it was way worse than kendamil.

So my question is what formula do you mums recommend especially if you also have a breastfed baby and use formula every now and then.

Thank you in advance.

Is he ok with cows milk when you've been weaning? My son was sick with formula and has suspected cows milk intolerance x

I currently combi feed my little one who’s 10 months old. I introduced him to formula at 7 months, he was also throwing up after Kendamil and constipated. A friend recommended HIIP Organic (close to breastmilk) and he is doing really well on it.

I was exclusively breastfeeding until about 7 months and have replaced one feed with Aptamil one (the ready made bottles). We're starting to replacd a second feed with this as well this week and then going to try switch to the Aptamil powder. No issues with it so far, the nappies have been a bit gross sometimes but that's potentially more to do with weaning than formula.

Not quite an answer to your question but if your baby is 9m plus, you don’t need to supply milk when you are at work (but obviously food and water) and they will be feed when you are home from work. Lucy Webber runs an excellent RTW workshop on this

I forgot to specify that I work night shifts. And he still wakes up for milk in the nights. That’s the only reason I am needing a breastmilk substitute. I only will be working 3 nights a week and move to a day job once little one starts preschool.
