Potty training

I haven't started my daughter yet, we tried a few months ago but after like 2 days she was uninterested and her doctor said not to force it or it can make it more stressful Commenting so I can get some tips for when she's ready tho lol

We potty trained at 16 months with our boy, went straight to underwear and took him potty every 20 mins for three days… he’s been potty trained since, even sleeps in just his underwear… now we have our girl who turned 14 months on the 31st and she’s been in underwear the last two weeks! You have to stick with it and can’t change your mind after a couple accidents! We start setting a timer on the echo and every time it goes off you get their attention “ooop! You hear that?!? Potty time! Let’s go!” And they should take off running. I use chocolate chips as a reward system! I keep them in a sealed container on a shelf in the bathroom, that way once they pee immediately offer the treat for the wanted behavior! We’re so excited to be done with diapers over here! Daughter just got potty trained this past week! We had her in undies all the time besides bedtime and nap time (we used a pull up for those). She peed herself a few times in the beginning and we just explained that accidents are okay and what she should do next time. She’s almost fully potty trained now, just needs to get better at holding her pee while sleeping :)

Used m&m’s as rewards for first few days and slowly backed off. Took her potty every 15min first 2 days, every 30min next 2 days, and now she knows when she needs to go!

I second the Oh Crap Potty Training book. It's so good! We've only gone off of THAT book. Bc you'll get so overwhelmed listening to others' opinions and what they read and blahblahblah. We started when mine was 2y4mo. Just cold turkey it with no bottoms, she wore dresses. It was an adjustment, of course, like any milestones, it takes practice. She's now night and day trained with underwear and is 2.6y now.

My daughter is two and she’s in pull ups whenever we have guests or go somewhere but we put her in potty training underwear at home and she’s learning really fast
