Sleep trained baby crying so much

So my baby is sleep trained and was from 9 months old with also dropping feeds. Recently she's been waking crying inconsolably for about 2 -3 hours . At times I couldn't take it and breeast fed her, it calmed her but didn't stop the crying but I don't want to pick up the habit of night feeds. What do I do I have given her calpol and teething powder.

How old is she? She’s likely growing and needing more calories. We do a forth meal before bed so they will sleep longer

She's 13 months and eats a good amount

What's your fourth meal and at what time/how close to bed time ? @Ashley

It’s typically a protein bar and an apple. Sometimes a cheese stick and pumpkin seeds or pine nuts and a banana split between the two of them. My kids 1.5 and 2.5 love these protein bars so much!

Since your little one is still super young you could do sweet potato and avocado before bed. Slow burn carbs and healthy fats will keep her full for sure

Thank you so much

Did you already take her to the Pediatrician to rule out physical causes like a an ear infection?

She had one of those and was on antibiotics. I will take her back

hmm, that sounds really tough, maybe it's just a phase or some teething pain, but I’d try to stick to your routine and see if she settles back down on her own. I actually checked the 'Heal Baby Care App' for this and here’s what it says: "It sounds really challenging to see your baby upset like that, especially after having established a sleep routine. Since you've already tried Calpol and teething powder, consider checking if there are any changes in her environment or routine that might be affecting her sleep, such as teething discomfort or developmental milestones. You might also try comforting her with gentle patting or shushing without picking her up, which can help her learn to self-soothe again.

Checking in for an update! What did pediatrician say?

Interestingly she settled. For the past 5 days she has slept through, and I think her molars have cut through so I think it may have been teething. But I have never seen her teeth that bad so it was so scary to watch and obviously painful for her too. I'm hoping she continues to have a period of calm before the next thing happens...whatever that thing is be it teething, a cold etc.
