Potty Training

We did the naked method it worked pretty well :) Pooh bear it for a couple days and have the potty everywhere you go. Then a couple days in undies and then finally in undies and regular clothes. Only problem is you can’t go back to being ok with diapers during the day or they will fall off the habit. There will be a lot of accidents and it’s gonna feel like they aren’t getting it but it’ll just pop one day 😂 also remind them that poopy is yucky and we like to go on the potty. They not to stress them out or it’ll take longer.

My LO is in daycare. Any suggestions on how I can train her?🥹 also what’s the naked method?

I believe a lot of daycares can start potty training if you ask them to, they prefer a potty trained baby. Naked method just means the baby is naked from the waist down the whole day. Ideally keeping them in an area where’s it’s easy to clean accidents cause there will be a lot. I did a 30 minute timer at first and just set them on the potty and said “potty time”. I would show I was happy and excited every time they went. Also if they have an accident, pick them up and put them on the potty, let them know here we go peepee. It’s going to take a few days for them to get the idea, don’t get discouraged. Then I would walk them to the potty once I knew their pee/poo schedule and say time to go potty.

I also let them come to the bathroom with me and I say “I’m going potty now!”

I let my daughter go to the bathroom with me. I put her on the pot 3x a day. And when she pee I clap and say good job. Now she run across the house saying ma pee pee lol

@Princess you literally let ur LO run around nakey and ask them lots of times, like 5min increments even, if they have to go potty. I saw a woman had her baby’s potty in the living room and had her nakey baby. Haven’t tried it yet but I hear it helps a ton.

hmm, just take it slow and make it fun, maybe try some cute potty books or songs to keep them interested! Just looked it up on the 'Heal App' and here's what it says: "It's great that you're starting potty training with your 20-month-old! First, look for signs of readiness, such as showing interest in the toilet, staying dry for longer periods, or communicating when they need to go. Second, create a positive and encouraging environment by using a potty chair that they can easily access and making it fun-consider using books or songs about potty training. Consistency is key, so try to establish a routine, such as taking them to the potty at regular intervals throughout the day. Remember to celebrate their successes, no matter how small, to build their confidence. How has your child responded to the idea of using the potty so far?
