Teething

How do you know when your baby is teething? She’s showing signs like drooling and chewing on her hands a lot, she seems slightly more upset than usual but not much. She’s almost 4 months and I can’t feel any teeth or see anything but i can’t think of any other reason for it. Is there anything I can do to help her pain? We have teething rings but she can’t hold them or fit her mouth over it to chew on them. We have a teething gel but it isn’t supposed to be used until 6 months so I need something in the meantime.

Exactly the same here my babies just turned three months Not sure what to do He can’t hold anything or even hold his head up still at the moment so Unsure what I can do to help He is very upset all the time but nothing showing or nothing to feel in his mouth

Warm washcloth to massage the guns, tylenol if necessary. But babies start to drool a lot and chew hands around 4 months, and they get more fussy. My son is 5 mo and we suspect he's teething bc he's having a hard time taking bottles/nursing and his front bottom gums are very red. Teethers that can go in the fridge really seem to help him!

Just read that she can't hold the teether rings. oops. I'd suggest that warm washcloth to see if that helps anything!

Definitely sounds like teething. My little one started having these symptoms around 3 months but still no sign of teeth. Apparently they can start teething symptoms early but it can take a long while for anything to come through. I bought mine a Gummee Glove (Google it or search on Amazon).. this really helps as he can’t hold any teethers.

@Jess looks like we may be in it for the long haul, poor babies!! thanks I’ll have a look! 😊
