I'm also confused
i literally went cold turkey in the day with nappies did the 3 day method he ran around naked for 3 days then i put pants on the 4th day and 5th day pants and trousers he only ever wears nappies for naps and bedtime however he doesn’t actually wee in anymore. been potty trained since january, he’s never worn nappies in the car, to begin with he would wee most journeys but that stopped after a week or 2
I know this sounds stupid but what is it we actually do that teaches them? Do we try and explain the concept of the potty or there a certain way to do it. Sorry if it’s a really stupid question
so i read a potty book to my son months before he even started potty training and sat him on the potty whenever we read it. once we started potty training he understood what he needed to do on it, and whenever he needed a wee we would sit him on the potty and read the potty book every single time (to begin with i was putting him on there every 30 mins so it was a lot of reading that book😂) not sure if that helps answer your question
@Kayleigh that’s really helpful thank you!
Nappies only for nap and bedtime. Pants all the other times or you will just confuse them. The car nappy free too (unless it’s nap time) Stickers, books, make it fun. We started on 2nd birthday and was quite straightforward
