hi friend, as someone whose son only pooped for the first time in eight months on the potty three days ago, we tried every single method imaginable, bribes, stickers, etc. playing with toys on the potty showing him that poop goes in the potty reading books, etc.. nothing worked but finally one night my son was talking back to his dad about going to the bathroom on the potty and he really yelled at him and laid into him and he’s pooped on the potty ever since lol 💀 lots of people will tell you use positive reinforcement and stuff like that but with some kids it just does not work for example my son. I really wish my husband had yelled at him sooner now looking back because maybe I wouldn’t have been changing at least one poop underwear every day since October 🙃

Annie, we have tried both reinforcements ! This kid is more stubborn than a woman 🤣

@Annie this makes me feel better because I lost my temper with my toddler tonight for the same thing and have been crying about it all night. Maybe he’ll wake up in the morning and just poo on the toilet from now on 😂

Update: we are still refusing to poop in potty When I ask him why he did it his response is “ cause I wanted to”

@incog my son also says that “because he wants to/doesn’t want to” line and i just tell him well it’s good to want things 🤣 and continue to tell him to go or whatever the situation is
