My 3 week old is the same and she’s been like it since we got her home pretty much - I actually took her to see the GP on Monday (ended up seeing a paramedic) as it was getting worse and I was worried she had a bad chest or was choking. Her chest was clear and silent reflux and/or trapped wind is suspected to be the issue. We’re currently a few days in with trying Infacol (not sure if it’s helping yet). I also tried some saline spray and the Frida nose sucker yesterday which cleared her a bit (gross but amazing what came out lol!) - she still sounds a little congested laid down so will try again tomorrow. The paramedic said they’d be hesitant to start her on reflux meds straight away due to her age but if it continues, to take her back next week… so will see how it goes. Hopefully this info is helpful as I know you’re feeling - it’s horrible to hear them sound like they’re struggling to so much xx
We are exactly the same. As soon as I pick her up she grunting noises stop but I know we are struggling with gas and wind especially overnight cos she is laid flat. I’ve tried infacol and colic drops which helps her poo/wind a little bit but the docs just tell me they grow out of it my frost was the same and after a few months it improves but it’s so hard when you are in those newborn trenches listening to it x
My little girl is 2 weeks old and she been doing it for the past week
16 days here and the same, so tricky When there’s nothing much we can give them 😭
Same and it’s only got worse she’s 4 weeks. I’m starting to think is it an allergy. She was combi fed, had to stop breast last weekend as there was too many variables. Reflux has worsened so I think it’s the formula. Tried her on comfort cow and gate which made her worse. Started kendamil comfort yesterday but still reflux but not as bad but her breathing was worse last night 😣xxx
Same with my LO, he’s quiet throughout the day and will sleep up to 4 hrs straight with no sound but at night he turns into a little dragon, we’ve been giving him infacol since yesterday afternoon to see if that will help as the HV said it could be colic, but she did also say the grunting noises are get normal for newborn babies and they normally stop around 6-8 weeks old.
No advice just wanted to say I’m exactly the same, was about to post the same thing🥲 Mine is 3 weeks too and sounds like he’s choking almost in his next to me, we don’t get any sleep. I feel awful trying to get him in there and he ends up back in my arms as he sounds like he’s really struggling
