I was always told you can’t get a replacement, hence why they always tell you to make copies. They all have a different number on (like a serial number) so that number is then registered to you. Best thing will be to give your midwife a call in the morning to ask my lovely xx

You don't need your matb1 for sure start once baby is born. You just need their date of birth. If you're on universal credit, you would have baby on there also and already proved identity.

I did the same. If you go into the hospital you gave birth in the will give you a replacement but make sure they fill in that you’ve given birth and you’re not still pregnant x

Hey, I did this i just contacted the midwives and they did me a copy. You then instead of putting your due date you put when the baby was born. Hope this helps

If baby has been born then send the birth certificate. Thats what I did and I was accepted without issue

you don't even need to send that either.

If you're claiming universal credit, you would have had to confirm your child's identity then. If you haven't then yes you will have to send a birth certificate. Usually you don't get it back, so definitely get a copy.

Are you claiming benefits? Because you can only get the sure start if you are. Mat allowance doesn't count xx

I sent a photo copy just in case. I thought better to be safe than waiting lol
