Mastisis help
I think I might have mastisis. I have a sore breast and flu-like symptoms (low fever, body aches) but I'm seeing conflicting information for how to best proceed with treatment. I don't feel any lumps and my breast appears normal visually. I don't want it to get worse. La Lecge League website advises against resorting to antibiotics too early and trying to let it resolve on its own, but if I'm already experiencing fever should I go to a doctor if I'm not better by tomorrow?

Ive had all those symptoms and my midwife at the time told me to ring GP asap and get antibiotics. Had them that same evening and improved within day or two 😊
I had it when my lo was first born and last week, the first time as I was with her 24/7 I was able to improve it at home, this time around I got on antibiotics in less than 24hours as I work full time, it was also a lot worse this time and completely wiped me out but improved after 2 days
Get the antibiotics and keep breastfeeding. It's no joke once it develops into extreme pain ðŸ˜
Definitely get antibiotics as early as you can. I had mastitis 7 time with my first baby and I can tell you it does not usually get better on its own! Makes you feel so poorly :(
