Preeclampsia

Hi, I've been kept in hospital with the likelihood of having preeclampsia. Currently 36 and 6 and feeling so scared and under prepared. Not really sure what I'm looking for, but just really wanted to post somewhere people would understand x

I’m the same, at 35+2. No advice, just solidarity ❤️ Trying to focus on healthy baby/healthy mama being the most important thing above all else. Will need to process all of this someday, but maybe not yet.
At 36+6 you are nearly 37 weeks and full term! Baby’s lungs will be very developed, and you can take solace in that at least, even though things aren’t panning out the way you planned ❤️

Thank you both, I really appreciate your replies ❤️. First time ever staying in a hospital too and it's all felt overwhelming. Doctors just been in to say they want to induce me today which I wasn't expecting so just getting my head around that and what that means for my birth preferences. Fully empathize with how much harder this must have been for you with dealing with it for so much longer, it's so scary. Xxx

I stayed in hospital for a couple of months with my first due to preeclampsia. I had to be induced then sectioned at 35 weeks. My daughter was small but everything ok and my blood pressure went down after 6x weeks. I just needed to keep on top of my BP tablets.

36 +6 usually isn’t too much of a concern for the baby. Preterm is considered under 37 weeks. Just focus on taking it day by day and take care of yourself. Watch out for progressive symptoms like rib pain (can feel like intense heartburn but nothing helps), vision abnormalities etc. as this can be a sign of becoming eclamptic. You still need to keep an eye on these symptoms after giving birth, as it can take a number of weeks for your body to get back to normal. If you don’t feel right trust your gut and let the doctors / midwives know. Don’t be afraid to shout. I know it’s daunting!

Wishing you all the best ♥️♥️

Baby movements

So I’m now officially 22 weeks pregnant with baby number 2 and I’m still yet to feel him move. I had my 20 week scan not last week but the week before and everything seemed fine but have a repeat scan tomorrow due to not getting a proper measurement of his face. I’ve been told I have an anterior placenta too. Should I start getting worried yet ?? With my first baby my placenta was at the back and I felt him move around the 20 week mark. I’m just really paranoid as I have fertility issues as it is and have had miscarriages in the past and I’m classed as a high risk pregnancy with this one as I have strep B and I had gestational hypertension and pre eclampsia with my first baby so I’m on shared care with this pregnancy and I’m also on aspirin too which was prescribed by the hospital to take to prevent with this pregnancy.

Is everyone just done now and ready for baby or not there yet?

If you’ve had enough and ready how far along are you?

I’m 37 weeks and starting to get more uncomfortable but enjoying it generally not at the end of my tether yet but I fear it may be just around the corner according to everyone else? Haha
