She’s been constipated for about a week or so where she’s been having one or two poos a day that are like big balls of clay. This isn’t unusual for her as she’s on anti reflux milk and refuses to eat normal formula due to how thin it is.
For the last two days her poos are every nappy, a tiny amount to a medium size each time and are like a thick paste. Shes had 8 nappy changes today which 7 of them have had some poo in whether a small amount or medium amount.
Her bum is so red raw she cries when she wees, poos and when I wipe her. It’s heartbreaking.
I’ve given her prune puree, apple and pear puree, extra water throughout the day but nothing is shifting it. She won’t let us do bicycle legs anymore on her and massaging her also isn’t working. we’ve also tried warm baths. I plan to request a GP appointment tomorrow but in the event I can’t get one, I’m just trying to see if there’s anything else I can try because I hate seeing my baby so uncomfortable and in pain 😭

Just had this same issue with my LB he is 6 months old.
We mixed some prune juice into his water and found that helped more than prune puree on its own. Also plenty of tummy time, he wasn’t keen on tummy massages but was happy rolling around on his tummy which helped get things moving.
I cleaned his bum with warm water on a cotton pad rather than with wipes to avoid too much irritation and kept him laid on a towel for a little bit without a nappy on to have some nappy free time and let some air get to the area.
Definitely try and get a GP appointment for some more advise, they might be able to prescribe a laxative of some sort.
Hope things sort themselves out soon for you x
