Have a toddler so will be out enjoying the nice weather tomorrow and can’t remember how to dress a baby in this kind of weather!
Is it hot enough for a short romper? Should I still do a short sleeve vest? Or should they still wear a sleepsuit?!
Why do I feel clueless still as a second time mum 😅😂

Following! I'm struggling with what to put our little one in! X

Me and my partner took our 7 week old out last Saturday to the zoo and put him in a vest with a romper and a sun hat xx

If it helps my baby boy is 8 weeks and if it's above 16 degree I just have him in a short vest and either a romper or shirts and shorts. When it starts getting chiller in the evening I then put a all in one coat on him if we're out or if at home change him into a sleepsuit

If there's a breeze, you could layer a light cardigan or have a blanket handy just in case.
use a wide-brim hat / sun hat and keep baby in the shade (like under a pram hood or umbrella).
The Rule of thumb is: Dress your baby in one more layer than you're comfortable in.
And don't worry, feeling unsure doesn’t make you clueless, just caring! You're doing great.

Also clueless about dressing up. Just took my 6 wk old out for a walk and to costa with short sleeve and sleepsuit. This worked on my advantage as it was easy to change after a blow-out 😅 Cute clothes will probably have to wait for a bit more.

I have a really warm baby generally, most days I dress him in a long or short sleeved vest and just some trousers, if I go out I start off with him in socks but 9/10 times he’ll wake up in the carrycot being too warm and the socks come off 😂 I always pack a thin blanket in case he does get chilly but we’ve not had to use it yet
Same if he’s in the carrier, if he doesn’t want socks on I’ll wrap a muslin atound the carrier and tuck it under his feet.
I’ve also got one romper dungaree outfit which he’s gone out in with just a long sleeved vest
I think baby apps and guidance are great, but just remember you know your baby best x

What about night time? I don’t want baby to sweat. Any ideas? Tonight I’ve popped him just in a sleep suit

thank you!!
