Potential tongue tie?

My newborn makes a clicking noise during her feeds. Does this mean she has a tongue tie? X

My son had one and a lip tie and did the same thing we got him evaluated at his dr then she referred us to a pediatric dentist. Not gonna lie the procedure broke my heart.

Mine did a little but no tongue tie. Just latching issues and reflux. Yay

I continue to struggle with the decision to get a tongue tie release for my girl. I wish someone had told me when she was in the very newborn stage. Now that she’s four months she’s improved a lot and I’m not sure I want to go through with it. Feeding is so tricky ughhhh

It could mean a tongue tie or it could be a tongue dysfunction. My son has one but it’s mild. Lactation and myofacial therapist both agreed it was from a dysfunctional suck not the tongue tie. So even if we had it released he would still click most likely. We were given exercises and tried different bottles and he no longer clicks.

Thank you guys! Hopefully I’ll get her soon to asap x

@Caila it’s heartbreaking seeing our babies go through pain!
