Im at a loss with teething

So our baby has had hot red checks that come and go since she was basically 9 weeks old. She’s seven months now and not one single tooth. Despite the constant red checks, grumpy baby, constantly dribbling, always covered in dribble rash despite me changing her outfit and bibs multiple times a day, it never ends. Endless calpol, teething granules, screaming out in the night. Refusing bottles, then being hungry. Sticking her tongue out or moving it around her mouth. I literally have strangers stop in the street to comment on her. If I hear “awww is she teething?” One more time I may burst out crying. I know this seems over the top but it’s effecting my mental health. I never ever have a happy baby and it all points to the teeth and I’m just so sad for her. I’m even questioning if it is even teething or is it just her and this is how she is. But I don’t know. I’ve not slept for months. I’m so worried it’s also effecting bad habits in her as she is constantly stuck to me because she needs 24/7 comfort from me which of course I’d do all day because I love her more than anything and I just want to see her happy. But to have nothing ever come of it, I’m getting really touched out and I now can’t go anywhere without her crying out for me. Sorry this is such a negative post I just have nobody to talk to. My mum, MIL, friends and sisters just say oh well this is teething for you, but when I ask if they had MONTHS of it they say no a few or so here and there. So they just don’t get it. My sister said she didn’t even know her daughter was teething and the teeth just appeared which is why it’s got me wondering if there is something else. It’s not a tummy, gas, reflux or food related issue I know that for sure. We’ve also been there and got the T-shirt and thankfully sorted that issue out. This is something different

Hey! Have you had a look into whether she’s got poor oral function? The cause of drooling is rarely caused by excessive saliva production and instead often caused by poor swallowing, poor mouth and tongue control in combination with posture and feeding techniques x

so my 7 month old was the SAME EXACT WAY! everything symptom, attitude, comforting all of it. i had tried all the toys, vanilla, organic gels, fingers and so much more. honestly the one only thing that got him to stop was food. we started the purees, then moved to baby led weaning, for the most part he’s perfectly fine throughout the day now. you could try blw to see if it helps but please do research prior. gripe water also may help even if it’s not gas related.

My LO was the exact same! The only thing that seemed to work was anbesol gel, he has been teething since 3.5months and now has only just had his bottom 2 teeth cut through and he is now 9months, and i feel your frustrations when everyone says ‘oh his teeth must be coming soon’ because his cheeks were bright red and hot all the time i hated having to repeat myself and have the same conversations about it!🙈 I know you’re also tired of hearing it but once they cut it does get better and will seem like they are such a different baby x

Okay so we are the same!!! Could have sworn my little girl started teething at 4 months as she's been a huge grump, constantly drooling, red cheeks etc. She JUST popped her first bottom tooth this week at 8.5 months and she's still cranky, so I'm wondering if the 2nd is on the way? 🙈 I'm just hoping and praying it gets better soon 🙏 No advice...just solidarity 🫶

My baby is 9 months and still no teeth despite signs. However, I think it’s probably something else if it’s gone on that long. Maybe see the doctor/health visitor
