Potty training early

I just wanted to share my success story. At 10 months we were told by a family friend about elimination communication. Our daughter always made a face when pooping and it always happened when she was eating. We decided at 10 months that when she would make the face we would put her on the potty. She started pooping in there daily with us putting her on. I’d say it was 95% of the time. At 12 months we started putting her on before and after naps and she started peeing in there too. We decided to teach her a sign for potty (tap her chest) and every time we put her on the potty we tapped her chest and our own to signal. For the past few weeks she has been crawling into the bathroom or signing potty. Each time she taps her chest we put her on. We also praise her, read books and give her a sticker. She’s been dry the last few days and we will be transitioning soon to underwear. She just turned 15 months yesterday. This is hope for all moms/families that EC can translate to early potty training. 🙂
