Back pain post spinal block

I’m currently 4 weeks pp and since about 3/4 days pp I’ve had such a sore back as well as spasams/ cramps. I’m assuming it’s due to the spinal block. Has anyone had similar and successfully improved the pain? If so, what worked for you. I’ve got a physical job so really need to get back to normal before I go back to work (luckily I’ve got some time but don’t want to leave it till the last minute)

Yes I had an epidural and for first week after I kept getting back pain /cramps! It did just go off on its own though after a week

I’m not saying this to not give you hope but this is just my situation. I had a epidural in March 2023 and got pregnant January 2024 had back pain since my first which continued through my second pregnancy. I had a spinal in October 2024 and since I’ve had nothing but severe back pain,I was referred to physio which hasn’t helped an awful lot,I’m on pain meds and it hurts to even get out of bed in the morning. I will say my posture isn’t the greatest and when I had my epidural I was in a state and they were moving my spine which has probably contributed to it. For a lot of people it eases off but if you find it continues please make an appointment at your GP surgery so they can see what’s best to help you! The sooner you see them the better x

@Jenny thank you for being honest. A few people have said the similar that their back has never been the same. I’m at 4 weeks now so think I’ll make a gp appointment on Monday xx
