If you are in the UK, do you need to prove your identity to vote in elections.?

Yes you now need to take ID

Yep, as we don’t have national ID cards though there’s lots of ID forms we can use. Driving license, passport, certain bus passes, MOD card, European ID cards, biometric residency cards etc

You also have to be on the electoral register to vote in elections. Not on, can't vote.

It was only introduced fairly recently and has been controversial but yes we do now.

Yes we do, we just take our id with us to the poll station, if you need to vote by post there is a form you have to complete etc. It's not that bigger deal so easy.
