Wait I didn’t know we were supposed to going down to only two naps..😅 so what should their wake window be? I can barely keep mine up for 3 hours
My baby took super short naps until I switched to a 2 nap schedule and kept him up longer. Now his naps are usually an hour or more. His wake windows are about 2.5, 3, & 3.5 hours.
I’ve found the best way to get those super long naps is to contact nap!
Also, yes, what @Melanie said
My baby was doing 20-40 minute naps until I put him in his own room now he naps for atleast an hour minimum. The other day he napped 2 & a half hours but our average nap is an hour and a half now. Our wake windows are 2 hours 20 minutes and average is 3 naps.
@Sera Kay ✨ my kid has been in his own room since 2 months. He's been napping in his own room for a month. Sometimes we randomly get an hour and a half or so but it's almost always 30-35 minutes 😮💨
@Melanie I did contact naps for months! I had to sleep train because it turns out I am not meant to spend hours a day in bed 🙃
@Shannon did you wait for you baby to show signs of readiness before switching to 2 naps or did you just go for it?
@Brenna oh dear!! Damn cos that’s my number 1 suggestion to people 😂😭 I hope he starts sleeping longer for you babe 🤍
@Sera Kay ✨ tbh I think maybe he just hasn't been tired enough. He didn't go down easy for first nap today so I got him up and played with him for about 35 more minutes. In total, he 2as awake for 2 hours and 45 minutes vs his usual 2 hours. He's been asleep for almost an hour now. Maybe it's time to stretch the wake windows and drop a nap...
@Brenna good idea. My son averages around 2hr 20 - 2hr 50 wake windows cos I ran into the same problem x
@Brenna Yes! He started fighting his 3rd nap and a couple times I couldn't get him to take it at all. Plus, trying to fit it in would make his bedtime later than 8 pm. I usually shoot for 7-8 since he does best with bedtime then. He also started waking up more at night and would usually try to be up for the day around 5 am. So definitely showing signs! I'm glad your little guy took a longer nap! Hopefully it's because he was awake longer and dropping the nap will help 🤞🏻
My baby also takes super short naps
