Unfortunately 8 weeks is like peak fussiness time for a lot of lil ones. Mine used to fight his evening nap and not sleep and just be a lil fuss pot from 7 until 9. Then he'd sleep luckily. He's still fighting naps now and will only sleep in the carrier during the day. RIP my back. They go through a leap at this time too which can affect their sleep. This is about the time my little one found his hands! He now loves staring at them and chomping them. It's just another phase you'll get through 🖤
@Solace Good to know we're not alone!Yes, we're feeding upright and keeping up for 15 mins after feeding, making sure to get burps. Her cries sound more assertive, like fussy and then full on cries so loud but they don't sound different. She does spit up frequently and we get lots of sneezing and hiccups. Like now, she's fed and is sleeping on me so peacefully. It's just at nighttime, it feels so relentless 😵💫
Do you swaddle her? Babies still have moro reflex active until about 4 months. My daughter used to do this as well and the thing that helped the most was making sure she was swaddled very well. We would even double swaddle at nights to make her feel more secure. We stopped swaddling around 3.5 ..months because she started rolling. The screaming when put down started up again after that for a bit though…in those times we just let her sleep with us (do this at ur own discretion because most drs advise against it). It worked for us though so we could all get some sleep! Just made sure she slept in her own bed for majority of the other naps
Have you tired laying something under her when in her Moses basket smells of you and also put her on her side that’s what I had to do with my 2month old and work like a dream
Are you breastfeeding? If so, look into CMPA to see if there are other symptoms. Dairy free breastfeeding group has good guides on symptoms, including a poop guide. If not breastfeeding, still take a look to see if a different formula would be better.
Gaviscon is the best I tried infacol she didn’t like the taste more bought anything up if she did she threw up all her milk and I tried everything else gaviscon is the way
my 8 week old is the exact same. she sleeps perfectly fine during the day but at night she’s fussing almost every 45 minutes-an hour. some days are better than others for us. we’ve started sitting her upright after every single feed and burping after every ounce. it’s helped a bit obviously not the perfect solution but that’s what we’re doing before her doctors appointment coming up in about 2 weeks. do her cries sound different? this something we’ve noticed, her cries sound hoarse and she constantly sounds stuffy(i know this is normal in newborns but it’s not supposed to be 24/7) does she spit up sometimes or have hiccups frequently?
