Toilet troubles with my baby!! Can anyone relate???

My baby is 9 weeks old and he is really struggling when it comes to pooing. No poos have ever been hard however he is only going every 3-5 days and during the days that he can’t go, he is pushing, grunting and screeching from struggling and trying so much and it is awful to watch him like this. We have tried him on cow and gate comfort, we have been put on Aptamil allergy milk a week ago to try this which seems to be making him a bit more sick. I also don’t know if he’s being sick from being so clogged up so he just spits his milk up. We have been given lactulose as well, and nothing seems to be helping him. Has anyone else had this? And if so, did you find a solution? It breaks my heart seeing him so uncomfortable every day😔

same ! mine is 8 weeks and he’s been having more troubles with pooing so i started putting gripe water in his bottles and it helps so much ! when i don’t give him gripe water in his bottle he struggles so much

We have struggled massively with this since 4-5 weeks! We're on goats milk which is kinder on the stomach and he goes once a day, but still strains/ screams with the wind and trying to pass through! We use probiotics, which help with wind passing and have tried all the colic solutions and have landed on Dentinox (my own personal judgement this one works best for us). We're also on Gaviscon for reflux! Ifs hard work but it's trial and error to see what works best for your baby x

@Erika is the gripe water helping him poop more easily? If so how much are you adding to his milk? My LB strains so hard when he needs to go to the point where he'll cry 😪
