I would definitely check blood pressure

What helps them go away is often a clue.
Did you have blood work during a headache?
It could be as simple as a water/electrolyte imbalance, which will easily go away in the moment with drinking a sports drink.

Avatar

if you did, you could be experiencing “Spinal headaches”, and a trip to the doctor would assist in that department

I had a c-section and preeclampsia afterward. My blood pressure has been good ever since though. I have a monitor at home.

Avatar

@Raquel it could definitely be from the spinal tap

Avatar

how do I find out if that’s the problem? And what do I do about it to fix it?

Avatar

do I ask my OB about that? How do they fix that? My OB nurse just said to meet with a neurologist and keep dismissing me.

I’d just say you have a concern about it. For me where i’m at, i can send a mychart message and they’ll answer my questions. But if you’ve experienced them since giving birth i’d say it’s highly likely. Mine was not continuous it would come and go, but eventually went away. They prescribe a med or give a steroid shot i believe for it

Yes... Same! BP is fine... It's sometimes the base of my head, but mostly in the temples and behind my eyes. I get them all the time....to the point I feel like I'm just living with a headache. I was thinking it could be spinal tap related (I hated that I got a C-section.. ) and/or posture as well as obviously very minimal sleep this whole time...

Avatar

@Raquel you may need some kind of mri or visit to neurologist

Avatar

EXACTLY!!! Base of neck and behind eyes. I wasn’t happy I had a c section either but he was breech. You haven’t looked into it further?

Avatar

It’s shocking that I’ve been having headaches to! And I can’t find a reason why . I had a spinal anesthesia . Might have to call my doctor

Avatar

no... I should. I have a record of going to the doctor and it going away on its own or just never really getting answers. I guess I was hoping for the former.
