Childcare offer

Hey yes it can take up to ten days, but as soon as you have an email to say your eligible then it’s pretty straight forward and takes seconds to add childcare provider and to be accepted by them.
Some times they do back date it depends but majority of the time they don’t so will be looking at a fee. X

Thank you for replying, do you need to be already working the job before they accept it? Just find it so confusing some have told me I should wait until accepted because I will get a code needed for the chosen nursery others unsure just so confused by it all as was fortunate enough not to need the childcare previously

What I did was a phased return back into work and put her in childcare two days a week, but had family look after her for a bit on those days whilst everything was finalised, then started childcare and didn’t miss any help that way. I’m now going to extend to four days a week.
I understand not everyone can do that, just sharing if it helps :)
