Sandwell council
Hi guys, needed some advice. I’m going through the council as homeless and I’m currently pregnant. They have put me on band 5 but I have gone through jigsaw and apparently they can take months as well. I’m due in June. I’ve been told to give the council a letter from the landlord which I will be doing however does anyone know how long the process will take. Just feel really stressed!

I don’t work and I don’t know how that all works? I’ve heard it’s more difficult?
I was homeless in my pregnancy in birmingham and was out in a hostel. Bcc wouldn’t help me at all and I was out in a hostel for homeless pregnant women. This was in feb 24. I started bidding everyday on midland heart and ended up moving into my 2 bedroom house in may of 24. U need to out the work in and bid everyday but that’s like everything things don’t just get handed to u I was proactively searching and doing everything I could so I would have a home for me and my baby
I’m under Sandwell so they might work differently? So how does it work with midland heart? I’m not working is that ok?
Yeah I’m not working and wasn’t either. Midland heart doesn’t matter where u r as long as ur in the midlands. I was in birmingham city centre and got my house in Northampton. As I didn’t care where I lived as long as I had somewhere. I was able to bid in brum, wolvs, Leicester , derby , Northampton. Loads of places and I bid on every single one I saw and I got somewhere quickly
Sorry must sound dumb but how do I apply to the midland heart because on the website it only had 2 options. Houses to rent or home ownership

Wait can I do this I live at home with my parents and I need to get out of their hair I can see they are struggling and looking to take out a hefty loan to do an extension for us even though they are struggling financially
do you know the chances of them offering a 2 bed if you’re pregnant? I’ve just signed up and I’m not sure whether it’s because I have no children currently it’s only showing me 1 beds?
I was pregnant and I only got offered 2 bed flats and houses , I put in the people
Bit that I was expecting and I got a 2 bedroom new build house within 3 months of signing up and going into it everyday x
that’s amazing! The ones coming up for me look so run down and there’s only like 2 coming up now😭
