“Glowing”

I work in office twice a week, every time I go the girls tell me I’m “glowing” and I hate it. I recently started wearing makeup again and changed my skincare routine lmao I swear it’s not pregnancy.. Im honestly starting to get offended, the only change in my appearance is my growing belly and breasts. Hearing “you’re so pretty” just because I’m pregnant is honestly rude in my opinion.

We are quite different! I welcome all the attention the bump and glow bring when I go into the office. Granted, I only go in once a week. Sorry you dislike the comments though! Pregnancy certainly comes with some unexpected feelings. I wish I had some helpful advice, but I guess all I can say is I’m sorry!

The compliments might actually be sincere and not just to make you feel good. I’m not showing yet and I posted on social media and got alot of compliments from people that don’t even know I’m pregnant. so now I believe it when my coworkers say I look good.

Kourtney I am the same way! I don’t want anyone talking about my skin, my glow, or my bump besides my partner. I’m really struggling with rage when it comes to comments even when they’re positive, and I’m not an angry person at all!

I work for a home visiting parenting program. We have two office days and the rest of the week see clients

same! I only want to talk about it when I bring it up or initiate the conversation. I’ve just never understood the “pregnancy glow” because I don’t notice it in other women. I also feel like a swollen slob half the time so I don’t want the compliments and I don’t take them well.

I’m someone who dislikes attention no matter what, I like to keep to myself and mind my business.

I’ve gotten the “you’re glowing” from a couple different people now too, and while it fortunately does not offend me, it does confuse me. I guarantee any “glow” is coming from my new commitment to showering and makeup in the mornings before work, because I’ve only gotten the compliment on makeup days. 😆

Sometimes I think it just comes from a place of them wanting to say something nice/encouraging, and that’s fine. I don’t mind the compliment… I just think it’s kind of odd and don’t know how to take it. 😂
