My little girl is 5 days old now and we’ve been using aptamil. She’s been very sickly with it, spitting up after every bottle and sick too. She doesn’t seem uncomfortable but she is extremely hard to wind and we have been keeping her upright for 15/20 minuets after but she’s still spitting up quite a bit. Is this normal to spit up after every bottle

This happened with my little girl when she was newborn on Aptamil, we made the decision to swap her over to Kendamil as it was a thicker consistency and she did so much better on it. Maybe have a chat with your midwife about it and see what they recommend doing
Thank you, we stupidly stocked up on aptamil 😅 will speak to her tomorrow and see what she says x

Maybe try a formula for Gentle tummies.

I had the same with aptamil and we changed to cow and gate. We saw improvement after a week. He was also projectile vomiting a few times and never did since the change x

hmm, it's pretty common for little ones to spit up a lot, especially in the first few weeks, but if it seems excessive or she's really uncomfortable, maybe check with your doc just to be safe. here's what the 'Heal App' says....
"It's quite common for newborns to spit up after feeding, especially in the first few weeks of life, as their digestive systems are still maturing. However, if your little girl is spitting up after every bottle, it might be worth considering a few adjustments. First, try feeding her smaller amounts more frequently, which can help reduce the volume in her stomach and minimize spitting up. Additionally, ensure that the bottle nipple flow is appropriate for her age; if it's too fast, it can lead to overfeeding and increased spit-up.
If she continues to have significant spitting up or if you notice any signs of discomfort, it may be helpful to discuss this with a healthcare professional for further evaluation.
